Alice Cullen, for the first time in a long time was at a complete loss, not knowing what she should do next. Since Renesmee, since the wolves and the Volturi, her visions had been a little, shall we say, off. They weren’t as clear as they had once been, perhaps it was because of one of those previously mentioned factors, maybe it was to do with that Mental shield of Bella’s or maybe it was something entirely different, something they knew nothing about. That wasn’t to say she wasn’t having visions, she was, but when it came to seeing the Volturi, or sometimes her own future, she was met with darkness, and that worried the normally optimistic girl. If her own future was blank, did that mean she was going to...”No!” she said loudly to herself, she refused to allow herself to think such a thing.
Jumping down from her windowsill Alice glided over to her closet and opened it wide, her eyes quickly scanning the contents. Only last week she had completely cleaned out her ’old’ clothes and donated them, but looking for something to keep her mind occupied until Jasper came home, she decided to once again sort a clear out. With a small smile she danced her way over to the small stereo she owned, turning it on, moving gracefully in time to the music as she went to retrieve an empty box from the basement at lightening speed.
Returning to her room, she set the box neatly on the floor and stepped up to her closet, already feeling slightly better, though not by much. The house itself was empty, Edward and Bella were in their own cottage, Nessie was at school, Rose and Emmett were in Seattle and Carlisle and Esme were in Alaska for the week. So Alice was alone, not something she liked but Jasper had needed to hunt so she settled, looking forward to her mate getting home as she began sorting through her vast amount of clothes. His presence alone was enough to send away these worrying thoughts, not that she’d mentioned anything about her blank future, he’d worry and that was the last thing she wanted him to do.

Jasper, on the other hand, liked the empty house. It meant that he and Alice had all the privacy that they wanted or needed, and when they were alone, they could do things they might not otherwise consider with the others in the house. Edward and Bella were lucky that they had their own place, but he never complained. There were benefits to being close to the others, especially when he still struggled at times to control his thirst for blood. Carlisle was as helpful as Alice was at that, and it helped him to know that they were both available to him should he need them.
The hunt had been successful, and he felt better as he came through the house and up to the room she shared with Alice. Behind her, he wrapped his arms around her waist and tugged her back against him, kissing her neck. It never occurred to him that she couldn't see him coming, but a moment after doing it he was able to sense whatever it was that she was feeling...

Alice was genuinely surprised when she felt the familiar strong arms belonging to her mate and husband wrap around her slim waist, tug her back against him and kiss her neck. The surprise quickly turned into happiness that he was home, but it barely masked the worry she felt over not even being able to see him coming home. It wasn’t often anyone caught Alice unawares; actually no one ever caught her unaware. Blowing out an unnecessary breath she fought down the fear that filled her, thinking about what had the power to affect her visions and future like this. She refused to feel scared, there was no point until she knew what it was that was really wrong with her.
Forcing a smile onto her face, she turned around in Jaspers arms, no longer having to fake the smile when she saw his handsome face. Her arms wrapped around his shoulders as she pulled herself even closer to him, and pressed her lips over his lightly, in a sweet and gentle kiss. Even when he wasn’t using his powers, Jasper had a power over Alice; it sent a wave of pleasure, happiness, and calm through the lively pixie, often making her forget that there was anything wrong with her. ”How was your hunt?” she asked as she pulled away, her fingers making quick work of adjusting the collar of his shirt, before her palms flattened against his chest.

It was all so normal for Alice, right down to the way that she adjusted the collar of his shirt, that Jasper felt a momentary pang. He reached for her hands, wrapping his own scarred fingers around hers and looking down into her honey colored eyes. Unbidden, the smile spread across his face and he gazed down at her, stealing another kiss when she pulled away. She was so delicate, and her emotions were so fragile right now that it pained him. He could feel her feelings as strongly as she could. For a moment he simply ran his thumbs over the backs of her hands, then pulled her close to him again and nipped at her jaw. "Productive," he told her in reference to the hunt. He was feeling better, more sated, though there was still the constant ache of thirst that came from not taking human blood.
Running his hand up into Alice's short, spiky black hair, Jasper continued to study her as she relaxed in his arms. He could feel the tension beginning to drain out of her slowly, and that made him feel a bit better. The trouble with her visions had everyone on edge, and they weren't sure what was coming, or if there was anything coming. Because she couldn't see past the wolves, they couldn't detect any added tension coming from that direction and it wouldn't surprise him if the pack was planning an attack to take out Renesmee.

Alice laughed lightly as Jasper stole another kiss from her all too willing lips. His smile was truly beautiful, the scars she didn’t notice, and not that she ever really had. To Alice they’d always been a part of who Jasper was, where he’d been and the struggles he’d overcome to be the incredible man he was today, a man she was madly in love with. He calmed her in a way no one else had ever been able to, Jasper was the only one who got to see Alice at her weakest, which was an extremely rare occurrence, although lately it was becoming more and more of a regular thing. When he nipped at her jaw, she smiled softly, leaning into him and inhaling his scent, feeling her body melt as she calmed considerably.
”I think perhaps I’ll go out tomorrow if you want to join me then too.” she said, happy they had all this time to themselves. They got to be a real couple, though really they were much more than that and as much as she hated being away from her family for too long, Alice was thinking maybe it was time they went on a trip. Perhaps Texas, it had been so long since Jasper and her had been there, and she knew how much he loved it. Alice found she loved it too, especially when his accent seemed to come out to play just that little bit more than usual.
Jasper was watching her, his unspoken questioning drew her eyes back up to his. Her own fingers played with the back of his hair, combing through the curly strands, ”Something is blocking me...I can’t even see into my future anymore” she admitted, not wanting to think it could mean she didn’t have one.

It was the wolves. It had to be the wolves. She'd never been able to see when they were too close, and if they were constantly surrounding the house and trying to get in at their family, it would make sense. But he hadn't encountered any of them out on his hunt today, and he wasn't sure that was really what was going on. He refused to think that it could be Nessie's presence blocking Alice's visions. If that was the case, they had to get out of here and go somewhere until she was clear again and firing on all cylinders.
Leaving again was out of the question, however. There was simply no way that he would put Alice through that kind of guilt and regret. He sent his most soothing feelings to her and dipped to capture her mouth again before parting and looking down into her eyes, brushing his thumbs over her cheek bones. "It'll be alright," he told her, trying to keep his own calm in spite of the growing alarm at what she'd said. Had he caught that right? She couldn't see her own future? That was something new. What if... No, he refused to even think about that, even as he heard a wolf howling out in the distance.
"We'll hunt tomorrow," he told Alice. "Together." He didn't want her out in those woods alone, not knowing if Sam Uley was going to respect the treaty now that Bella had been turned. She hadn't been bitten, of course, but that didn't seem to matter to the wolves, who still occasionally stalked around the house.

Alice smiled up at Jasper, her worry and fear had completely dissipated, all thanks to him and the calming effect he had. His presence was incredibly reassuring, like she felt protected, loved and safe with him. Running her fingers over his cheek, skirting over his lips she nodded her head and smiled the light in her topaz eyes returning, “I know it will be, we’ll work this out until then I refuse to worry anymore...” she said with a firm nod, stealing another kiss from him once he’d finished talking about hunting tomorrow. “Together, it’s a date.” She teased.
Lowering herself down off her tiptoes she let her hands drop to his chest, smoothing away the imaginary creases there. “I do believe Major Whitlock your due to take me shopping this weekend...” she said, her eyes glazing over and a blank expression falling over her face as the vision hit her. It was simple one, nothing of importance, simply her and Jasper in Seattle and apparently, at least according to the vision, Charlotte and Peter were to be coming for a visit. Coming out of the vision she smiled up at Jasper, he’d be happy to see them, and they never usually stayed long being human blood drinkers and all, a night at the most. Still the vision made Alice happy, maybe she'd had this one due to the wolves not being around on that date.
“Peter and Charlotte will be arriving Saturday night.” She informed him, stealing another kiss before twirling out of his arms and making her way over to their bed. Sitting down on it, she crossed her legs beneath her and looked to Jasper, inclining her head to the side ever so slightly, “That’s good news yes?”

"Shoppin'," Jasper said and smiled down at Alice, then dipped to give his petite wife a kiss on her nose. "Of course we're goin' shoppin'. Wouldn't have it any other way for my beauty." He hugged her tight for a moment against his chest, her head resting just below where his heart would be beating if he was still alive. He wasn't breathing at the moment, but he held her close to him, then gently pulled away. "Peter and Charlotte. Are they really?" he asked, then smiled. A vision was something, if she hadn't been having them lately, and it made him feel relieved that she knew something. It was definitely a step in the right direction. "We meetin' 'em down there then?" he asked, searching her face for the information that he needed from her. When she gave him nothing immediate in return, he nodded his head and turned to look out the window.
"A weekend of shoppin'. Sounds fun to me. Just the two of us, or are you plannin' on takin' Bella an' Rose as well?" Neither of their sisters had Alice's penchant for shopping, but he wanted to give her the option to invite them as well. And if Peter and Charlotte were coming... They would need to warn them off. Those wolves were getting vicious!

i'm waiting some some kind of miracle [atrb=border,0,true] [style=width: 250px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto] Alice smiled happily at Jasper, of course he didn’t mind shopping with her, and he was actually incredibly patient when it came to her addiction. Just like her, all he seemed to want to do was make the other happy, and that in turn made them happy. When he hugged her tight, she returned the hold with just as much enthusiasm she could happily spend the rest of eternity in his arms like this, really she didn’t need anything else. Jasper was all she could ever want or need, she would do anything for him, no matter the cost. Hearing his delight at the mention of his friends coming for the weekend, Alice beamed and nodded her head, “I knew that would make you happy!” she laughed, the bell like sound echoing around the room, “We are meeting them in town, it seems Charlotte is going to need my help.” she said with a nod, already knowing the outfit she’d be helping Charlotte to find.
“I know the vision isn’t much but it’s something...I think I’m only having it because we’re getting away from this place.” she said with a sigh, it would be nice to get away from what she knew was the source of her blindness, but things were changing in Forks, she could feel it in every fibre of her being, and the Cullen’s were needed here, whether the wolves liked it or not. At his question she shook her head and slid off the side of the bed, approaching him and wrapping her arms around his torso as she looked out the window with him,“I haven’t asked them but I know they won’t want to come, besides I’d like it to just be you and I for a while, before we meet up with Charlotte and Peter. I miss having you all to myself like this...” she admitted, it was rare they got anytime to themselves, just the two of them.
As she glanced out the window, into the vast wilderness that surrounded their house she let her head come to rest against Jaspers chest. She didn’t need her visions to know the wolves were out there somewhere; she didn’t even need to smell them. It was a feeling so profound inside her, things were set to get a lot worse in the coming months, she could feel it, “We’ll have to tell them about the wolves though...you know how protective Peter is over Charlotte, he may decide it’s too risky to bring her to the house. I can’t see it happening but, we need to warn them...I doubt the wolves would attack us if we’re in a group though.” The wolves were really only attacking the Cullen’s when they were alone, which was why nobody, except Jasper, as much as she hated it, went out alone.
